Why do we give our power away?

Why do we hide our light?

We give our power away as a means to gaining others love and approval.

We hide our light to make others comfortable to make us more likeable.

But when we diminish ourselves, we start to not like ourselves all that much. We start not being able to love ourselves. We make fun of ourselves, all while hearing these things we say, we start to think that way, we start to believe it . We start to feel it.

And over time we become less and less. Until were nothing but cinders and ashes.
