The magic of a happy accident

Serendipity is such a magical word, filled with so much hope, magic and excitement. The promise of ending up exactly where you need to be even though you didn't think you needed to be there, the magic of meeting someone at the right time, that intangible moment when the universe has conspired with the stars to align.
These moments can take us quite by surprise, they may not even seem like big things at the time, but days, weeks, months and even years down the line you see them as these events which propelled us to a different place.

Serendipity has taken many shapes in my life, dome of my closest friends I met through serendipitous moments, meeting my husband was a pure act of serendipity, me developing and strengthening my psychic an intuitive abilities start was through a hard time but in hindsight it was serendipity because without it I wouldn't be where I am, and I wouldn't be connecting with all of my lovely and amazing clients.
I personally believe we have a certain amount of free will but some things are written in the stars, they're meant to be, and the universe will move the heavens and part the seas to help everything to fall into place.
On Monday on my husbands birthday we had headed into town with our family, we headed into waterstones for a nosey to see if there was anything he would like to get for himself. We had walked round and seen a couple of things but nothing he was ready to make a solid commitment to. Then as we we're getting set to head back downstairs to where the games and comic books/graphic novels were we noticed a clearance trolley, as we passed it I noticed a purple book and I was pretty sure I recognised it. And yes, yes I did indeed recognise it, it was the Crystal Code by Tamara Driessen, I'd actually seen it a couple of times before, but then I noticed the sticker on it. What is a book that is typically sold for £12.99 was being sold for 99p. Yes you read that right 99p. A staggering 92% off, and why, because the front of the book along the spine had been damaged/marked when it was being shipped in. The book itself is flawless. So of course, it came home with us, this was one of the most recent acts of serendipity that have happened.
I think of these little drip feed acts of serendipity as a little nod that we're on the right path, keep going, keep moving forward. Keep being grateful, keeping being of service.
Serendipity has allowed me to find money (I always look to see if it needs to be returned to someone first), it allows me to meet some amazing people, it allows me to do what I love, helping people, being of service, helping people find their way when they feel a little lost, helping people start to heal and make a whole different set of choices.
For those of you who don't know the story of how I met my husband (sorry to those of you who do and are a tad bored but of all the love stories out there this one is my favourite) I'm going to tell it. In 2014 I made the decision to run the Great North Run as I was looking for a new challenge, I also signed up to complete the Lakeland three peaks, climbing the highest three mountains in the lake district. The three peaks was in May and was a tough 13 hours slog, the following month I took ill, no reason no explanation, but I'd gone from climbing mountains, walking 20 miles a week just for the walk to work and back, and running, to then not being able to do anything. I had been stopped completely in my tracks forced to address some serious issues that were going on in my life. And I was refusing to deal with them, because I didn't want to look at them, well now I was forced to. And over the next 15 weeks I dealt with them, it was hard, and it was a whirlwind. All while recovering from what the doctors believed to be M.E./Fibromyalgia. After 8 weeks I returned to work and started to train again for the great north run. So on 7th September, I headed to ny start zone, and as I headed around the barrier, I very tall man said hello and said he was running for British Heart Foundation too. I was running for British Heart Foundation in memory of my dad. We stood we talked, he told me when the queue was starting to move as I'm 5 foot three and he's well, a giant. After talking for a while, he said he'd find me on Facebook as our bibs had our full names printed on them, this was not the same when we ran together the following year. Once we crossed the start line, we said our goodbyes and that was that. Over the months we exchanged messages of support as I was making some big transitions in my life, as my marriage to my now ex-husband had come to an end, and I moved home. Over time we did eventually meet up again and overtime it all clicked into place. Not easy at time but worth it. And last year in September we managed to have our wedding, it was downsized form our original plans, but it was still magical, and we got to say our I dos in one of our favourite places.
Moments of serendipity happen when we least expect them, and maybe thats as it should be, because maybe if we were trying to plan it, make it happen or knew it was going to happen, it would take the magic and whimsy out of it. And maybe it wouldn't happen the way it was meant or the way it should. We don't always have to control or know what's going to happen, but instead allow ourselves to be guided, to be moved, and ultimately to trust the process. Embrace the magic of life, it may sometimes feel a bit chaotic and messy, but things have a way of working themselves out, whether thats we pull up our socks and decide now is the time or whether the right solution crosses our path at the right time, all will be well. As my mum says "It'll all come right in the wash."
Next time when you have a happy accident, or an unexpected surprise, express gratitude to the universe, and get excited for the next little nod from the universe and prepare for more magic. But most of all remember you are pure magic.
Today, why not think of those moments of serendipity in your life and express gratitude for them, and say that you are open for more magical possibilities for your highest good. Embrace the magic, embrace life, embrace the possibilities.
I'm wishing you a lovely day, full of happiness, magic and possbilities.
Marie
