Unlucky for some..

Today is the day of the great goddess, Friday 13th, and now contrary to popular belief and folklore, Friday 13th is not a bad luck day, it is a day of good luck and abundance. With this in mind, my guide a greek goddess, Thalia has stepped forward to pass on a message.

ree

During times of darkness, such as you are being faced with, use this time to embrace your shadow, to grow, to become strong. We don't get strong by by avoiding what lies beneath, we get strong by facing it. We face the darkness and the shadows by bringing our light, raising our lantern and facing the darkness and whisper "I am read, you may be tough but I am stronger, my light will shatter the darkness, once the light touches it, the shadow no longer has a the grip of fear over me".

I am the darkness and I am the light.

I am strength and gentleness

I am love and fear

I am she, I am he, I am we

I am the divine feminine that moves through each and everyone of us.

I am the sun and the moon

I am the stars and the night sky

I am dawn and dusk

I am the magic and the earth

I am the oceans and I am the fire

Embrace your light and embrace your shadow and do it all with love. When we try to embrace the shadow with fear, anger, or hate, we are simply adding and feeding into the darkness.

Rise through love, rise with love, love is your sourve of strength. Love is not just gentle and kind, love is strong and powerful.

If you are wanting to make a dedication to a specific goddess but don't know which one, as we are in the season of Leo I would recommend either Sekhmet, Bast, Eos, or Freyja.

Sekhmet is an ancient Egyptian goddess of the sun; healing and she is also a warrior goddess. She is often depicted as a lioness, and is incredibly protective, she is a powerful goddess to call upon when we need to strength to preserve or to tap into our personal power.

Eos is the winged goddess of the dawn. She heralded the rising of the sun with her rosy brilliance.

Bast is the ancient Egyptian goddess of cosmetics, cats, love, the home, healing, joy, motherhood, pleasure, ointments, childbirth, protection, the hearth, women, secrets, fertility, dance, festivals, song, the dawn, fire, pregnancy, sex, family, warfare. Each night Bast transforms into a cat and protects her family and those who call on her with her all seeing night vision. As she is the daughter of Ra, she has the rare distinction of being a goddess of the sun and moon.

Freyja is a Norse goddess of war, death, love, sex, beauty, fertility, gold and sorcery. She rides a chariot pulled by two cats, is accompanied by the boar Hildisvíni, and possesses a cloak of falcon feathers. Freyja rules over her heavenly field, Fólkvangr, where she receives half of those who die in battle. Freyja assists other deities by allowing them to use her feathered cloak, is invoked in matters of fertility and love.

To create dedications to these goddess use items associated with cats/lions, and the sun. Also I would recommend crystals such as citrine and sunstone. If you would liek to include essential oils, herbs and flowers such as orange, frankincense, saffron, rosemary, cinammon and chamomile.

Set your intentions today in the powerful light of the sun and give thanks for what we have, and invite the light in to shine light and love on our shadows.

Sending light and love

Marie
